The original was released in 1998 by the German label PLAYHOUSE. “Beau Mot Plage” quickly spread across various scenes and became a masterpiece. The following year, in 1999, an edit by Luke Solomon and Rob Mello was released by Classic Music Company as “Beau Mot Plage (Heaven & Earth Re-Edit),” and “Beau Mot Plage (Freeform Reform Parts I & II by Freeform Five),” which was initially released as a limited-edition single-sided record and also became a cult hit after being played in various venues. Additionally, “Beau Mot Plage (Freeform Five vs Idjut Boys Beats)” (sample 1)—which was used in the IDJUT BOYS’ DJ mix “Saturday Nite Live” but remained unreleased for a long time—is included on this Classic Music Company reissue for the first time on vinyl.
