Track List

A cult classic and unique masterpiece released in 1972 by bossa nova master Luís Bonfá—a central figure in the bossa nova movement who helped introduce Brazilian music to the world from the late 1950s through the 1960s and is also known for his score to the Academy Award-winning film *Orfeu Negro* “Introspection,” released in 1972, is now available for the first time as an official analog LP reissue. Unlike the bossa nova works for which he is best known, this album features a personal solo guitar performance. Having trained in classical guitar, Bonfá established a unique style that fuses Brazilian rhythms, jazz harmonies, classical lyricism, meticulously crafting a meditative, serene, and sublime soundscape through his solo guitar playing. A timeless masterpiece that beautifully resonates with listeners.
Released by Jazzybelle Records, a promising new label founded in Portugal in 2024. A no-digital, vinyl-only release. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
