Themes For Dreams marks another left turn, finding Chicago-born and based musician, composer, and producer Will Miller at his most meditative, patient, and intentional. Across 13 gorgeous and strikingly cohesive tracks, the album eschews drums in favor of immersive melodies that float, dissipate, and linger. It's an album meant for rest, with arrangements so welcomely enveloping they feel like a warm blanket. While it's Miller's sparsest record yet, it still keeps his wildly collaborative ethos, enlisting guests like Marta Sofia Honer, Jeremiah Chiu, Macie Stewart, Matt Gold, William Corduroy, Molly Rife, and others.
Themes for Dreams marks the first self-released LP from Resavoir's new imprint L'UNIVERS, following three critically acclaimed releases on International Anthem. With over 9,000 vinyl units sold and 82M+ cumulative streams across their catalog, Resavoir has established a proven track record with both listeners and record buyers. The band's 2019 self-titled debut earned an 8.2 from Pitchfork and widespread international acclaim, supported by ongoing radio and editorial backing from tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Anthony Valadez, Somewhere Soul, Andrew Jervis, and Lovie, with airplay across BBC 6 Music, KEXP, and NPR. The group continues to see strong editorial momentum, with placements across Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, and Delicieuse Musique, alongside recent accolades including NPR Best Songs of 2025, KMHD Best Albums of 2025, and New Commute Best Albums of 2025. The gentle tones of the trumpet, piano, and 70's electronic keyboard Hohner Pianet, the warm and fluffy electronics, and the chamber-like string arrangements by the violin, viola, and cello create an exquisite sense of harmonic balance and arrangement that is experimental, dreamy, dreamy, and pastoral. Inspired by Hiroshi Yoshimura's 80's new age ambient environmental music masterpieces "Green" and "Surround", Hans-Joachim Roedelius' masterpiece "Wenn Der Südwind Weht" and Yo-Yo Ma's "Bach Cello Suite". which is a collection of 13 pieces that invite you to a restful sleep.
