From *A STATE OF FLO*—whose Afro-ensemble track “Green City,” a tribute to the legendary FELA KUTI, is still fresh in our memories—comes an extended-version EP from Costa Rica-based singer-songwriter DOE PAORO’s album *Living Through Collapse*! “Teach Us Of Endings (Auntie Flo Extended Version)” (sample 1) is a Balearic boogie arrangement featuring a laid-back percussion roll that builds steadily, with DOE PAORO’s crystal-clear vocals and classical guitar emerging midway through—and that fat funk bassline is downright dangerous. The B-side is an exotic remix of “Maya (Auntie Flo Extended Version)” (sample 2), which immediately grabs your attention with a bass intro not found in the original track and amplifies its Middle Eastern essence. *Please note that the sleeve has minor scratches from when it was first received.
