This is a live document of a performance held in January 1974 at a water mill near Montpellier in the south of France. This is the second part of a two-part work documenting the birth of the group, the first fruitful and tangible realization of the sound of the Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra, the people's jazz orchestra led by French free jazz pioneer François Tusques. Free improvisation, blues, traditional music, minimalism, and funk all come together in this joyous space. Remastered and reissued for the first time on 180g vinyl with obi.

In 1971, pianist François Tusques led the Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra, a group that attempted to dismantle boundaries by bringing together players from different styles and regions. In the spirit of Don Cherry and Chris McGregor, Tusques on piano, Michel Marre and Jo Maka on saxophone, Adolf Winkler on trombone, and Guem on percussion, the band's members are now back together in a new two-part album. In Vol. 2, songs of resistance, rustic dance rhythms, and cacophonous bursts of sound create a ritualistic, floating sound, and transcendental free music that takes on an otherworldly, almost lunar feel.
