Musician TOWA TEI is releasing a 3-track 7-inch single! This is the first lead single from his 14th solo album, *ZAMBIENT*, scheduled for digital release on September 25, 2026. The track explores the themes of “time,” “cyclicality,” and “death and rebirth.” True to the word “source” in the title, this track serves as the gateway symbolizing the new album’s worldview. It blends TOWA TEI’s signature electro/hip-hop-funk sensibilities with modern dance elements and colorful, highly addictive repetitive phrases, creating a track with a distinct “future art” vibe. The keyword for the album *ZAMBIENT* is “Zambient, a hybrid of ambient.” Here, “mongrel” refers to “noise,” and this connects to the concept of “sound that doesn’t aim for the center”—a concept that consciously contrasts with “main tones,” “trends,” and “the majority”—in other words, a reference to AI.
