Ground Zero, a jazzy rock-noise unit formed by Otomo Yoshihide in the 90's, released an updated version of the original on Trigram in 1995, which was remixed and reissued by Spittle Made In Japan in 1996. Reissued in analog form on Spittle Made In Japan!

This is an official LP reissue of a 90's Japanese avant-garde masterpiece, "Peking-Oper", a sampling and reconstruction of the 60's Chinese revolutionary Peking Opera from Heiner Goebbels & Alfred Harth's 1984 album "Frankfurt - Peking", which was further deconstructed and reconstructed into a turntable plunderphonic/cut-up work, a crucible of experimentalism. The album is a crucible of experimentalism, featuring free improvisation by a dense cast of musicians including Sachiko M, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, and Naruyoshi Kikuchi, as well as Japanese audio, needle sounds, and silence, and is an intense collage of sounds that must be experienced to be believed. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
