Aside from the self-titled 1965 album—Simon & Garfunkel’s sole album, produced by Paul Simon, and a true masterpiece—tape recordings by Jackson C. Frank, previously unknown even to collectors, have been unearthed and will be reissued in 2026 as 1975 Mekeel Sessions. The album features six tracks recorded in the mid-1970s at a studio in Lake Hill, New York, where Frank was living at the time. While his idyllic, warm guitar sound—characterized by strumming and fingerpicking—remains intact, his vocals, which seem to reflect a deep introspection, have gained added depth and nuance.
