IGAXX, a Japanese act known for releasing music on left-field labels such as 〈ALTZMUSICA〉 and 〈MACADAM MAMBO〉, has teamed up with the label’s own genius artist GROPINA to release a collaborative single! IGAXX’s epic cosmic psychedelic electronic track “The Perception”—which traces its lineage back to Krautrock—is an absolute masterpiece, especially in this version where ethereal flute, acoustic drums, and dub bass lend it a danceable heaviness. The version of “Someday In Time” (sample 2)—a hypnotic downtempo breakbeat track where acid and percussion crawl across the dance floor—is infused with funk and dub.
