Chihiro Hatakeyama, an ambient artist who has captivated the world, and Ken Ikeda, a musician and visual artist known for his work on labels such as 〈ROOM40〉 who has expanded improvisational expression into a unique, primal electronic realm. Following their 2015 collaborative release *Moss*, this collection of soundscapes—woven over the course of nearly a decade through a process of recording and meticulous editing—is now available on vinyl. It is the third release on *mykesrhiza*, the label based at KNOCK in Koenji.

Sixteen fragments, strung together like a cinematic montage, are presented under the theme of “a mental landscape where distorted dreams and crumbling daily life intertwine with the anxiety and darkness seeping through the cracks, and a faint light flickers from deep within the silence.” Chihei Hatakeyama’s delicate sustained tones and Ken Ikeda’s unpredictable improvisations create new resonances through an organic interplay, evoking the listener’s inner landscape in this superb, imaginative ambient work. While there are no dramatic shifts in scene, the music is rich with atmosphere and offers a deeply satisfying listening experience. Released on vinyl via Koenji KNOCK’s label *mykesrhiza* and featuring artwork by visual artist MIKA TAMORI, this album is a comprehensive work of art meticulously designed down to the finest detail. We highly recommend getting the physical copy as well. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
