Two years after the first installment of the series that caused a stir with its tribute to “Tropicana”—a seaside resort on the outskirts of Rotterdam that was also used as a rave venue—the second installment is here! Featuring BETONKUST, a seasoned artist well-known for his collaborations with PALMBOMEN II and his releases on labels like 〈DEKMANTEL〉 and 〈CLONE〉. Continuing in the vein of his previous release, this track stands out even among the 〈ALTERED CIRCUITS〉 catalog—a left-field electro track that combines hypnotic effects with a refreshing vibe, featuring dark yet mysteriously crystalline synth work.

A new release from 〈ALTERED CIRCUITS〉, at the forefront of body music, helmed by INNERSHADES, the charismatic figure of the new-era New Beat scene! The second installment of “Tropicana Tracks,” inspired by “TROPICANA”—the rave venue built in the suburbs of Rotterdam in 1988 that played a pivotal role in the rapidly growing Dutch dance scene. Utrecht-based BETONKUST, who have previously showcased renowned collaborations with PALMBOMEN II on labels such as 〈1080P〉 and 〈PINKMAN〉. “Realxing” (sample 2) features smooth synths and percussive drums that evoke the sensation of floating comfortably in a warm pool. Also featured is “Will Support” (sample 3), a tough, looping minor-key electro track with a minimalist structure rooted in the Detroit tradition.
