ALEX PICONE—one of the leading figures in the Barcelona scene, well-known for his curatorial work on projects like “Seekers”—has launched a new project called “EsponTánea,” which compiles recordings from over 200 live sessions he’s performed with various artists over the years! This landmark debut release features an experimental tech house jam session with TC80 and ANAH. Available exclusively on limited-edition vinyl, with no reissues planned.

As a producer, he is best known for “Furby / Floppy,” released in 2008 on CADENZA, which captivated artists ranging from RICARDO VILLALOBOS to LUCIANO. His talent as a curator is also extraordinary—ALEX PICONE, who pulls the strings behind the scenes of the electro-tech house scene, is now in the spotlight with his new project! He has released a recording of a live jam session from “Small Black Dots Studio.” The 2023 session “Magnetic” (sample 1) with TC80—co-founder of 〈SEQUALOG〉 and a familiar face from various 〈CABARET〉 releases—features a perfect blend of uplifting progressive elements and a bouncy groove.
