This is an intriguing and deep album of contemporary dub that deepens both facets of steppers, infused with the experimental spirit of their previous release, *Lord Have Mercy / Brass VIP*. A1 “Brandy” is a fantastical, dark dub-stepper featuring an eerie, looping flute and heavy bass. A2 “Brandy” features a ritualistic atmosphere, with a gritty, heavy minimal groove that builds to a crescendo, while the B-side includes the approximately 9.5-minute live recording “Cautious (Dub),” notable for its digital rhythm and medieval-sounding synth choruses.
