A new release from Toronto-based label 〈MARIONETTE〉, known for its genre-defying electro-acoustic music! A new album from KIRK BARLEY, who released numerous hits under the name BAMBOOMAN on labels like 〈ACCIDENTAL JNR〉 until around 2018 and continues to showcase his talent in projects such as CHURCH ANDREWS & MATT DAVIES! He makes full use of alternative tunings—which enhance the beauty of specific pitches and tonal resonances—and non-grid-based sequencing. Tracks include “Ion” (sample 1), where fluid tribal percussion is gently embraced by crystal-clear pads, and “Knead” (sample 2), a minimalist piece where dreamy keyboard-percussion loops create a sweet harmony.
