Montreal-born, Lisbon-based artist Gayance has released her highly anticipated second album, *roaming*, on the prestigious UK label *Tru Thoughts*, following her debut on the popular house label *RHYTHM SECTION INTERNATIONAL*!
Having been shortlisted for the 2023 Polaris Music Prize with her debut album *Mascarade* and receiving high praise from music media around the world—including Gilles Peterson and Jamz Supernova—she has now completed a work that can be described as an “audio travel diary” on an even grander scale.

*roaming* seamlessly blends her Haitian roots, London-born broken beat, the fiery rhythms of Brazil, ’90s house, R&B, gospel, and contemporary club music. Drawing on a decade of travel and experiences as part of the diaspora, it is a personal yet universal dance album that powerfully expresses a quest for identity, healing, self-affirmation, and freedom.

With its uplifting beats, intimate French lyrics, and a sound where spiritual resistance and a sense of celebration coexist, this album offers a one-of-a-kind musical experience born from Gayance’s unique global perspective. In addition to collaborations with Judith Little D, Waahli, Magi Merlin, NARCY, and De.Ville, Jarreau Vandal and Seb Hall also participated in the production.
