A collection of remixes of tracks by the legendary France-based ethno-industrial band “VOX POPULI!”, active in the ’80s, is now available! This release brings together some of the most eccentric talents from France’s left-field scene: ALEXIS LE TAN and JOAKIM’s avant-garde trance project FULL CIRCLE; the electro-punk dub unit FROID DUB; and analog maestro KRIKOR and multi-instrumentalist SHELTER. The result is a collection of unique digidub tracks that blend one distinct style with another.

The “EMOTIONAL RESCUE” line from “EMOTIONAL RESCUE RECORDINGS,” which systematically uncovers, reissues, and pioneers left-field sounds, After a hiatus of about a year, the label returns this year—marking its 15th anniversary—with this powerful reissue! Featuring selections from “VOX POPULI!,” a hybrid industrial/power electronics project that has enjoyed cult status from the ’80s to the present, reimagined with dub arrangements by Paris-based mavericks. FULL CIRCLE, an icon of alternative modal trance, is transformed into slow breaks and digi-dub reminiscent of a ritualistic mantra. SHELTER, who is active across a wide range of labels including 〈SÉANCE CENTRE〉, presents a 10-minute epic ethno-dub woven with a collage-like sensibility.
