A fantastic single cut from the 1973 cult classic *Na Teef Know De Road of Teef*, reissued by Daptone Records in 2009!! Side A, “Mind Your Business,” is a powerful, psychedelic, smoking-funky, heavyweight Afrobeat track built around writhing brass, intricately intertwined percussion, and solid guitar—evoking the spirit of ’70s JB’s and Funkadelic (sample1), and on Side B, a completely floor-ready, exquisite, and powerful remix by producer/DJ Gabriel Belabbas—co-founder of the Positive Future label—that reconstructs the track into a deep, minimal realm with a hypnotic, dark atmosphere reminiscent of Moodyman and Ricardo Villalobos “Mind Your Business - Gabriel Belabbas Remix” (sample 2)—a truly great masterpiece remix!!!
