Up to now, the pair had only put out a self-released cassette, "view," in 2020, distributed by hand and through a handful of shops, and their activities were likewise confined to their everyday orbit: sessions at Harikuyamaku's studio, session-based live sets at local Okinawan events. The release of Bitowa - Septemba EP on this label in January 2025 opened the door to deeper ties between Okinawa and Hachioji, leading directly to this record. The tracks here weren't mapped out in advance either; they're built on sounds that emerged during sessions, with Harikuyamaku layering top-end textures over Bitowa's beats using mainly the Buchla synthesizer, treated with spatial effects to yield techno with an incantatory air. Mastering engineer Pole is a perfect match for dubby material, and this time around the running time per side was deliberately kept short to eliminate as many cutting constraints as possible \u2014 a spec decided with one priority in mind: shaking the dance floor with the highest possible sound quality and optimal volume.
