In addition to tracks released under the name “opo,” the album features 14 tracks by various artists affiliated with “666ridims,” including ghostbika, lil darkonda, djmu, names9s, oscar4eva, 5indaSauce, and opoku.loves.u. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, African music, jazz, performance art, and food culture, this album features a collection of irregular beats arranged with a strange sense of unity. It also features sketch-like tracks born from exchanges with visual artist Billy Bigwood, as well as songs using samples taken from vinyl by Hanakito, a Japanese DJ based in Barcelona. A showcase of “opo-style” Afro-electronic and strange grooves that explores new grids beyond existing rhythms. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
