D.C. SALAS—whose previous release, “Pixelated Dream Theory EP,” was beloved by industry icons like DJ MASDA and IVAN SMAGGHE, a fact well-known among fans—delivers his long-awaited new release via 〈HIGHER HOPES〉. Starting with the lead track “Darkest Dreams” (sample 1), played by ROZA, this is a deep and hypnotic electro masterpiece packed with wonderfully memorable, mysterious melodic phrases. Other standout tracks include “Classified” (sample 2), where the echo-laden lead perfectly complements the breakbeat-driven, danceable drumline. On “Fiesta Fiesta,” a track commemorating his 15th anniversary, he sings in Spanish himself. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
