The second release from “CABBAGE TRAX,” the new offshoot of 〈KLASSE WRECKS〉, helmed by LUCA LOZANO and MR. HO! Featuring DMX KREW, who continue to push the scene’s boundaries with ongoing releases on labels like 〈SUPER RHYTHM TRAX〉 and 〈BYRD OUT〉. The release includes a total of four tracks: original tracks from both artists and collaborative remixes of each song. LUCA LOZANO takes “Shake” (sample 1)—a track that embodies the DMX KREW’s signature sound, blending the physicality of ’80s electro-funk with a post-rave sensibility to create high-pitched, mechanical yet funky electro—and reconstructs it with a completely different retro approach by reworking the chords in a darker direction and adding a vocoder. Will this resonate with fans of DMX’s style? (Original Japanese text by Akie)
