A wonderful new release from ROLAND P. YOUNG, a deep electronics / new age trip.
ROLAND P. YOUNG — whose late-'70s masterpiece "Isophonic Boogie Woogie," a kind of new age jazz laced with electronics, was reissued by EM, followed by a remix album by ALTZ, and whose 2009 comeback album "Istet Serenade" also drew plenty of attention — returns with a new release on EM RECORDS! Compared to the previous album, the electronics hit harder and the scope of its world has widened, with a run of deep tracks brimming with a floating sensation, bass clarinet, sax and marimba undulating through abstract space. A wonderful piece of work.
