He began singing in church at the age of 6, sang in the church choir and his high school gospel choir, and in 1978 provided backing vocals for Patti LaBelle’s “Quiet Time.” He later formed his own group and released this album in 1983. This extremely rare, little-known gospel boogie and disco soul gem by Louisiana-born gospel singer Earl Young has been unearthed and reissued as a 7-inch vinyl by ATHENS OF THE NORTH.
