Alongside the "Asparagus" soundtrack, created with improvised music legends such as Takehisa Kosugi, Steve Lacy, Anthony Braxton and George Lewis, the set includes "Asparagus (European Version) Part 1 (sample2) & 2 (sample3)" — an unreleased, fantastical, psychedelic kosmische Musik epic for Moog modular and Polymoog synthesizers recorded by Richard Teitelbaum himself at York University in Toronto in 1975–1976, which became the basis for the later "Asparagus (Original Soundtrack)" (sample1). (Incidentally, "Asparagus," an 18-minute experimental animation employing both hand-drawn and stop-motion techniques, became famous for its two-year run of midnight screenings at New York's Waverly Theater, paired with David Lynch's "Eraserhead.") Also included is the field recording work "Threshold Music," performed at a 2022 memorial concert at Roulette in New York featuring Alvin Curran and others — a 2LP set (gatefold jacket) that also encompasses precious material from his archives.
