LP 1890 JPY

Todd Terry's landmark 1988 debut album on FRESH RECORDS — a key document from the dawn of house, when the cutting edge of NYC dance music (hip-hop, electro, Latin freestyle, edits, NYC disco sounds) collided with house! We've gotten hold of deadstock copies of the 180g heavyweight European reissue (2019) of "To The Batmobile Let's Go," the massive worldwide hit and all-time classic.

The debut album from the project Todd Terry finally unveiled at the peak of his powers — the man of the hour at the time, firing off one house 12-inch after another built on bold sampling, cut-and-paste from the likes of Arthur Russell's Dinosaur L ("Go Bang") and Kraftwerk, brimming with hip-hop/electro/Latin freestyle edit B-boy breakbeat sensibility. With appearances from Chep Nunez, Little Louie Vega and more, it radiates the warm camaraderie of the FRESH RECORDS crew — a forever-fresh, red-hot record. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
