A ferociously funky rare groove treasure from The Shake and Bake Band — a soul and funk group made up entirely of former pro players from the NFL, formed in 1975 by Glenn Doughty of the Baltimore Colts — now officially reissued on 7-inch by the esteemed Tramp Records!!!

In 1976, while still playing football for NFL teams, they recorded and released this crazed debut single! Side A, "Shake and Bake Pt. 1" (sample 1), woven from conga, bass, guitar, harmonica, percussion and drums, runs 4:30 (45 rpm), while Side B, "Shake and Bake Part 2" (sample 2) — with Area Code 615-style harmonica bringing killer swamp/country funk — stretches out to 5:20 (33 rpm)!
