From NUMERO GROUP — the label that has reissued compilations by West Coast new age pioneer Iasos, as well as early recordings by electronic musicians Joanna Brouk, Don Slepian and Laraaji — comes "Bliss Out: For Days," a 2LP compilation shining a light on new age. The source material is largely obscure, cassette-only private press recordings, with the longer pieces presented here in edited "Glimpse" versions.

Included is "Bethlehem," taken from "Celestial Vibration" — a small private pressing from 1978 issued before he took the name Laraaji, and released before he was discovered through BRIAN ENO's "Airport" series. Many of the originals run 10 to 20 minutes and are presented here in Glimpse (short edit) versions. You get a glimpse into a trove of mostly obscure, cassette-only private press material: Iasos, the Canadian '80s synthesizer duo Vernal Equinox (reissued by NUMERO), '90s artist Alex Johnson, Minnesota's David Naegele, and the Valley Of The Sun circle also covered on 2022's "Valley Of The Sun - Field Guide To Inner Harmony." As with Laraaji's "Glimpses Of Infinity," the 2LP length feels just right. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with a 32-page booklet. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

The Numero Group guide to private issue new age. Featuring Laraaji, Iasos, Joanna Brouk, Don Slepian, Peter Davison, Master Wilburn Burchette, Jordan De La Sierra, David Casper, Robert Slap and 9 other pioneers of the Perrier underground. Adorned with Marcus Uzilevsky's Linear Landscapes, this 2xLP compilation is housed in a sturdy tip-on jacket and is accompanied by a 32-page booklet. The fourth world awaits.
