"Sei Note In Logica," the 1979 minimalist electronic music masterpiece by Italian genius Roberto Cacciabaria—best known for the original version of the Telex classic "My Time"—is being reissued on LP for the first time in nearly 10 years. It has been reissued by the prestigious U.S. label Superior Viaduct!!!

Along with Franco Battia, Giusto Pio, Rino Capra-Vaccina, Francesco Messina, and others, he was one of the leading figures of the Milan avant-garde scene in the 1970s. After studying at the conservatory, he worked at RAI’s Studio of Musical Phonology (an electronic music research institute similar to Germany’s NDR/WDR, France’s GRM/IRCAM, and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop). pianist Roberto Cacciapaglia’s 1979 second album and masterpiece, *Sei Note In Logica*, has been reissued on LP by the prestigious U.S. label Superior Viaduct. Rivaling the academic and outsider-style minimalist classics by masters such as Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Terry Riley, and Moondog, this album features pastoral minimalist melodies created through a chamber-like orchestral ensemble, vocals and chorus, and computer-generated electronic sounds. A miraculous masterpiece that continues to radiate an evergreen, unique brilliance. It’s also a delight to note that Ann Steel—the lead vocalist and protagonist of his futuristic techno-pop classic from the same period, *The Ann Steel Album*—makes a subtle appearance on the backing vocals here. The cover artwork for this release is, as always, exquisite and beautiful. A masterpiece that continues to influence many artists, including Jim O’Rourke. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
