A gentle, acoustic world that envelops you in its own way, with a touch of American road movie. Blue Lake is the project of Jason Dungan, a Texas-born musician currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and following the release of "Sun Arcs" in 2023, which was voted the best album of the year by numerous websites, Blue Lake has released a mini album of five songs under the Tonal Union label. A mini-album of five songs has been released from Tonal Union. We hope that those who liked the very popular Yo La Tengo "Old Joy," which was sold out after pre-ordering, will also receive this album.

Newly incorporating instruments such as piano, melodica, and 12-string guitar, this organic, swaying ensemble emphasizes one-shot recordings, as if following nature's generative disappearance and cycles. Tatara" uses found objects such as driftwood and bicycle tires for percussion. Strata," a performance of a multi-stringed zither he designed. A masterpiece of folk〜country〜ambient〜drone〜jazz, with a psychedelic sense of nature as well, is born. Much of the inspiration seems to come from the work of partner and textile artist Maria Zahle, and her piece "Torso" is used on the album cover. Nothing dramatic happens here, hence the mellowness. Don't miss it. Mixed by Jeff Zeigler, who also worked with Laraaji. A full-length album is also in the works for later this year. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
