The Timmion manner — modern vintage soulful groove — is explored in a modern way alongside Jimi Tenor's seasoned, deranged, freaky musicality, sci-fi film soundtracks, and the maniacal worldview of '60s–'70s library music, all bathed in twilight urban mellowness. Nothing is aggressive here at all; a faintly eerie madness drifts and flickers within the lukewarm, laid-back chill-out groove playing, and it's just too blissfully pleasant and lovely.
From a mystical synth solo's cosmic expanse, twilight-mellow slow-motion vintage soul unfurls dazzlingly and slowly across nearly nine minutes on the album's title track and masterpiece, A1 "July Blue Skies" (sample1); the Timmion-manner cosmic slow jazz-funk soul gem A2 "Sky Train Baby" (sample2) and A3 "Venus of Barsoon" are superb too. B1 "Ikuchi" (sample3), sci-fi library music in manner and exotic garage-tinged eerie slow funk, is endearing as well. And then there's the advance single, B2 "Summer Of Synesthesia," a soft-psychedelic, nostalgic, imaginary summer of love and a slow-motion soul classic that's utterly captivating. The closer B3 "Tsicroxe" — likewise the B-side of that advance single — is irresistible too: obscure modern funk with a diabolical organ arpeggio that recalls a scene from a Dario Argento film, crisp breakbeats from Cold Diamond & Mink, and an eerie flute solo by Jimi Tenor.
