The long-awaited new album “In Sight, Vol. 1” by master percussionist Gerardo Frisina—who has been a mainstay of the prestigious Italian new jazz label SCHEMA for over 20 years since his 2001 debut—has arrived on vinyl LP!! An elegant and masterful fusion of Latin jazz, funk, and soul with modern electronic dance music. A truly magnificent masterpiece has been born.

With its Latin jazz, ’70s rare groove sensibility, and Deodato-esque Fender Rhodes tones, this album transports listeners into a cosmic realm of spacey crossover, modern jazz-funk, and electronica. These seven tracks feature meticulous production down to the finest details, along with superb sound quality and arrangements. And best of all, this album includes the previously unreleased instrumental version of “Samba Skindim” (sample 3)—the title track and a true classic from the 2009 10-inch EP—which is an absolute delight. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)

Always unique in blending traditional elements (latin jazz, funk, soul) with modern sounds, since "Moving Ahead" in 2020 Gerardo Frisina, a leading name in the international jazz and electronic music scene, has introduced new 'cosmic' and 'futuristic' elements into his style. His evolution culminates today with "In Sight", a double work conceived and produced in two separate volumes. "In Sight Vol. 1", finally revealed in all its glory, is still oriented towards the clubbing context, with the exception of "O Soñho", a slower-paced bossa nova with a cinematic atmosphere. The album also contains a previously unreleased instrumental version of "Samba Skindim" (title track from the 2009 10" EP), a 'great classic' and one of Frisina's most appreciated compositions both by listeners and Gerardo himself.
