With its Latin jazz, ’70s rare groove sensibility, and Deodato-esque Fender Rhodes tones, this album transports listeners into a cosmic realm of spacey crossover, modern jazz-funk, and electronica. Featuring seven gem-like tracks with meticulous production down to the finest details, superb sound quality, and arrangements that work perfectly on the dance floor.
On “In Sight Vol. 2,” the band constructs a sound world with new dimensions—blending new jazz, psychedelic, minimal, and dubby dance music—with a more intricate spatial composition than on previous works.
It’s also a delight that “Mindoro,” “Tarab,” and “Mystical Funk”—previously released as 45s—are included here in new versions. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
