"Magic," the hard-to-find record he issued in 1982 under the FIVE SINNERS moniker, finally gets a repress. Centered on a killer repeating unison phrase that burns itself into your brain, it's a minimal yet finely developed boogie groover of the highest order. The remix by DAVE MATHMOS — familiar from the popular Balearic disco series 〈TOO SLOW TO DISCO〉 — adds keys and synths for a modern disco flavor, and it's superb as expected.
