Outer National. A compilation celebrating the 10th anniversary of the label run by Geneva, Switzerland-based record shop *Les Disques Bongo Joe*, which spotlights unique music from around the world.

We start with Alain Peters, a guitarist from Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean who has also released a compilation in collaboration with 〈Moi J'Connais〉, followed by bands influenced by African, Turkish, North African, Maghreb, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and Arab music—such as Altin Gun, the Mauskovic Dance Band, Cyril Cyril, and Yin Yin—all regulars on the Bongo Joe label—as well as the Meridian Brothers from Colombia, the Spanish industrial legends Esplendor Geometrico, and the Swiss ’80s experimental band Dressed Up Animals. From world music to new wave and psychedelic rock—though the regions vary, there’s a consistent sense of dance throughout. Be sure to check it out. (Saito)
