A musical legacy. Marcos Valle’s 1971 album *Garra*, originally released on *Odeon*. A masterpiece that has been reissued several times, including by *Light In The Attic*. This officially licensed reissue from *Vampisoul* features a remaster from the master tapes on 180g vinyl. Highly recommended for its mixing and sound design as well.

Centered on bossa nova and Brazilian music, it draws on the Brazilian musical revolution of the Tropicália movement while also reflecting the cutting-edge influences of the time, such as post-Beatles psychedelic rock, American pop, and jazz. It features arrangements by guitarist Geraldo Vespar and orchestral arrangements by Orlando Silveira, and the mixing is simply phenomenal. The vocals and each instrumental performance are outstanding. It’s fantastic entertainment. Produced by Mariozinho Rocha—who, following his previous work, is beginning to establish himself as a renowned producer—and Milton Miranda of Odeon. Remastered from the master tapes and reissued on 180g vinyl by Spain’s VAMPIASOUL. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
