A legendary rarity long chased by fusion collectors finally gets its first reissue, now with official licensing! MR. CIRCLE's "Thi Nam" (1981) is blissful dancefloor jazz that steeps itself in Latin and Brazilian samba sounds and rhythms while also touching the soulful, mellow side of fusion. A hidden treasure beloved even by CHICK COREA. Don't miss this chance.
Track List

A hidden gem of dancefloor jazz-fusion whose originals are nearly impossible to even lay eyes on, now getting its first reissue, remastered from the original tapes and fully licensed! Formed around jazz singer Monica Linges, MR. CIRCLE released this, their only album, in 1981 on the audiophile label 〈STOCKFISCH〉. The extended "Suka" (sample1) opens with gorgeous, utterly mellow vocals before building into tense jazz samba. Also on board: the richly Latin-percussive "Juntos" (sample2) and "Schoch-Schach" (sample3), where sax and vocals intertwine with summery, driving momentum. Latin and Brazilian jazz fused together, with sweet harmonies and crystal-clear tones. An album CHICK COREA praised as one he'd keep listening to for years. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
