The BRASIL 45 series, which reissues classic Brazilian music tracks from 〈MR.BONGO〉 on 7-inch vinyl, has repressed its popular early catalog (No. 33).
"Tema de Baby" from 1974, recorded by Marcio Lott — who was later invited to guest on vocals for Azimuth and Sergio Mendes — for the film "O Mau Caráter." The original is said to be a super-rare piece. Jazzy samba funk with mellow vocals and chorus. An astonishing track. The B-side is a 1977 cut by Silvio Cesar, the singer and composer who made his name at ODEON. It's a co-write with Azymuth's legendary keyboardist José Roberto Bertrami — another masterpiece, laced with crowd noise.
