Pappa Tarahumara was a performing arts group that was on par with Dumb Type. This is the first analog version of the music composed by Masahiro Sugaya, who was a member of the group as a composer, from a rare cassette tape that was circulated only a few times at the time. The emerging Spanish label Ambient Sans has reissued "The Pocket Of Fever" followed by "Music From Alejo" from 1987 (the next album was "Sea Zoo" which has already been reissued in Japan)!

He is also known as a composer/experimental musician who has produced music for NHK Educational TV's "Diary of a Junior High School Student" and radio dramas, and as an arranger for Gonchichi's works. This 1987 work was written as music for "Alejo," a performance by the avant-garde dance/performance group Papa Tarahumara, of which he was a member from 1987 to 2000, and runs parallel to the transforming body and space. The score is a unique sublimation of minimal repetitions and pauses, a crystallization of poetic ambience, and the familiar tones of synthesizers and an experimental spirit deeply connected to images of butoh, dreams, etc. "Oldfashioned," which exceeds 15 minutes, is also a masterpiece. The 15-minute-long "Oldfashioned" is another highlight, with many wonderful moments. Masahiro Sugaya himself cut the original DAT tapes and optimized them for 180g weight vinyl.
