CONOMARK—who is active in a wide range of fields, including as a DJ, producer, and graphic designer, on both the domestic and international scenes—has launched his own label, ELHAST EXPERIENCE! ! This completely limited-edition 7-inch vinyl, pressed in a worldwide run of 400 copies with a hand-stamped label, features a stunning cover of Bob Marley’s iconic anthem “Redemption Song”—one that seems to capture the song’s spiritual essence through electronic talkbox, serene and understated ambient sounds, and soulful vocals. It’s also a real treat to get a download code for that previously unreleased track.

TAIHEIとのユニットWilliamsによる「Somewhere」は、アフリカン・パーカッシヴなリズムの幕開けから、ジャジーなピアノやスポークンワードなどを織り込みながら、ディープハウス～ビートダウンともシンクロするウォーミー&グルーヴィーなフロア・サウンドを、BPM160のグルーヴで作り上げた、なかなかこの世にない世界観の楽曲になります。
そして、日々生きる者へのメッセージをめぐらせた名ソウル・ナンバーの歌世界を、素晴らしいマッシュアップにより際立たせたCONOMARKによるサウンド・コラージュ作「LBS」をボーナスTRKとして収録。フロアから日常まで心と身体をあたためてくれる1曲になっています。

The label’s landmark first release is by guitarist and producer Seitaro Mine—known for his work with Inushiki, Chinza DOPENESS & DOPING BAND, and NEKOSOGI—featuring an electronic talkbox rendition of Bob Marley’s acoustic, folky masterpiece, the anthem of all anthems “Redemption Song”—a true anthem among anthems. This lovely cover, featuring an electronic talkbox that conveys the song’s message and spirit with serene subtlety, offers a warmth that would perfectly soothe a late-night dance floor or an outdoor closing set. Side A: “Redemption Song (Single Version)” (sample1); and on Side B, WILLIAMS—a unit featuring TAIHEI, who gained attention with their 12-inch releases on CONOMARK and 〈HOLE AND HOLLAND〉—delivers a track at 160 BPM (80), “Somewhere” (sample 2)—a jazzy, deep floor track that exudes the vitality of African deep house, with a jet-black, tribal, and refined sound where a thick, comfortable bassline pulses with hypnotic minimalist grooves—is also fantastic. Furthermore, this special limited-edition release includes a download code for “LBS”—a previously unreleased track—a collage edit of soul and jazz songs that gently resonates with the heart, a signature Conomark sound.
