The long-awaited new album from identical twin duo Satoshi & Makoto, their first in six years, has arrived. Born out of a collaboration with coffee culture magazine Standart, it invites you into an imaginary café space at a tempo as leisurely as rising steam — a further development of their gem-like CASIO CZ-5000 sound, drifting upward from electronic new age into ambient. Released on Portugal's 8mm Records.
Track List

Satoshi & Makoto are a twin duo born in 1970 in Kanagawa who have been making electronic music with the CASIO CZ-5000 since the age of 15. Discovered by Young Marco of Safe Trip and rediscovered worldwide, they went on to perform at Rainbow Disco Club, and this latest work pushes their distinctively emotive sound world into even deeper, more cinematic scenery (they also scored Federico Luis's short film "Para los contrincantes," nominated for Cannes 2026). Clear electronica and ambient textures, faint hints of jazz, and understated yet memorable grooves merge into enveloping synth sound that seems to act on all five senses. Set in a conceptual café that encourages contemplation, exchange, and the crossing of inspirations, it's a gem that carries the sense that something new is about to be born.
