A complete round-up of tracks written and released between 1987 and 2009! Recorded using a ROLAND 1824 (digital recorder) and a FOSTEX 8 (open-reel deck), this is sweet, smooth and highly experimental boogie funk that embodies Chicago underground soul and dance music. A collection of works by WALTER THOMAS, who toured with the likes of THE TEMPTATIONS. 7 of the 8 tracks appear on vinyl for the very first time!

An excavation and compilation job from LA's CQQL RECORDS, a label that recreates the old-school machine sound of the '70s and '80s! A collection of works by WALTER THOMAS, a singer-songwriter from North Chicago, Illinois, who has served as an opening act for THE EMOTIONS and THE DRIFTERS. It runs from "Magic City," a slab of machine funk that doubles as a homage to the roller rink of the same name, to the actual commercial jingle for "E&J's," a legendary Illinois barbecue joint, to "I Wanna Get Witcha" (1987), a hit that became a genuine anthem in underground venues around the world. It's also a precious archive steeped in the sound, culture and daily life rooted in Chicago, Illinois and its surrounding areas. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
