Imhotep, who served as the sound architect and head of the music division for IAM—a hip-hop group that enjoyed immense popularity in Marseille, southern France, from the 1990s through the early 2000s—released this entirely instrumental album in 2013, featuring a blend of Oriental dub and reggae trip-hop downtempo masterpiece, “Kheper Wax,” is finally being reissued as a 2LP set in 2024—the first reissue in two years!!!
