NUKE WATCH—a duo consisting of CHRIS HONTOS and AARON ANDERSON, who previously released music under the name BEAT DETECTIVES on labels such as 〈1080P〉, 〈WHERE TO NOW?〉, and 〈RVNG〉—has expanded to a trio for this release, marking the start of a new phase. Their musicality, which spans from the post-hippie movement to the American DIY avant-garde, now incorporates elements of free-form improvisation. Recorded as live improvisations with minimal overdubbing, the album features a cohesive, trippy sound punctuated by unexpected key changes and developments. The cohesion stems from all members sharing the same vision and tone, resulting in a unique brand of psychedelia that is both laid-back and meticulously crafted.
