Korlakang, a four-piece band from Thonburi on the west bank of Bangkok, has made their debut. Building on a foundation of Luk Thung, they present a uniquely warm and gentle ethno-sound that blends the genre with the psychedelic, ethereal quality of ’70s rock and pop. These two gentle, richly evocative tracks evoke the local scenery and atmosphere, with a feel as if a long-forgotten Thai record from the ’70s had been miraculously discovered in pristine condition.
