PLEASURE VOYAGE, a Hungary-based duo that has released works on left-field sound labels such as 〈MM DISCOS〉, 〈CONSTELLATION TATSU〉, and 〈SAINT WAX〉, delivers an album that is sure to be loved for generations to come. Mediterranean disco boogie featuring a clear-toned female vocalist singing in Portuguese, soulfully jamming with a funky bassline “Magnetismo” (sample 1) is remixed by WHODAMANNY—a member of the MYSTIC JUNGLE TRIBE and a key artist on PERIODICA RECORDS, active in the Naples EARLY SOUNDS scene! He adds guitar and electric piano phrases to create an arrangement even more tailored for the dance floor. Also worth noting is the standalone track “Equator Funk” (sample 3), which expands the album’s scope—a tropical funk tune that lights up the dance floor with a rich bass groove and a lively horn section!
