Guchon, a Tokyo-based producer who has released music on labels such as 〈Hot Haus Recs〉 and 〈CHIWAX〉, and the unit “Kokushi Musou”—led by Fujiko Meijin, a prominent figure in the domestic breakcore and chip-tune scenes—are releasing a new record via the independent 10-inch label 〈ATM REC〉!
High-speed Amen breaks, samples intertwining over chip tune—it’s incredible! 45 RPM—I personally enjoyed listening to it with a screw. The remix “Gasha Dokuro (CycheoutsG Remix)” by CycheoutsG, released simultaneously on this label, is also DJ-friendly. Since both artists are illustrators and designers, the artwork is incredibly cool, too.
This weekend, on Sunday, October 11, the label owner’s all-out event “Anthem” will be held at MAGO in Nagoya, featuring Kokushi Musou and CycheoutsG, so be sure to check it out.
