A new release from 〈SNORKEL RECORDS〉, home to OLEFONKEN—one half of “Hubbabubbaklubb,” best known for their classic album *Mopedbart* (2013), a staple of NICK THE RECORD’s sets that’s now become nearly impossible to find! This is the debut album from LIGUNA, a collaborative unit featuring TARJEI NYGARD and ARE M. FOSS, who have previously released music on alt-disco labels such as *FULL PUPP*, *ESKIMO*, and *ESP INSTITUTE*. Tracks include “Concolor,” where gently flowing guitar playing is accompanied by freely pulsating percussion and electronics that lend a cosmic nuance, and “Jaktradio,” where vocal humming and guitar create a dreamlike harmony. While their musical style ranges widely—from downtempo to beatless, vocal-driven tracks, and upbeat, driving rhythms—every song is crafted into a soundscape that reflects the changing seasons, the landscapes of nature, and moments spent in a mountain cabin. You can preview all tracks from the tracklist. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
