Surprisingly, it's a breezy record built largely on straightforward guitar rock, but the mood shifts abruptly on psychedelic, wave-leaning tracks like A2 "The Birds" (sample_1) and B2 "Circle Of The Rain" (sample_2), which are utterly captivating. These are fascinating moments where glimpses of the avant-garde, dubby sound of Zru Vogue come through. It's also astonishing that such an expansive sound was recorded at home.
