"Endless (Universal Cosmic Sounds)" LP — a gorgeous compilation of romantic, mellow tracks that swim cosmically between jazz-funk, ambient, library music and experimental electronics from 1969 to 1985, hand-picked and lovingly compiled from his own collection by Charles Maurice, head of Favorite Recordings and one of France's leading DJs/producers!! Now in stock!

"Endless" marks the 10th anniversary of Charles Maurice's first compilation release back in 2015. It opens with A1 "As I Hear It," Beaver & Krause's pioneering, dreamlike Moog sound experiment, followed by A2 "A (Reprise) You Gave Your All" (sample 1), Edwin Hawkins' elegant, mellow cosmic soul gem, and A3 "Bagnols" (sample 2), privately pressed by Patrick Marcel in 1985, where ambient textures and an ECM-like jazz sensibility melt into cosmic crossover jazz-funk disco. A4 "Océan" by Bernard Larquet is equally beautiful, wrapping you in the gentle comfort of waves rolling in and out with cinematic, spellbinding charm. B1 "Endless" by Gamma, which lends the album its title, is superb as well. Also included are Ector Davis' new age, fantastical synthesizer fusion/jazz-funk B2 "Fountain in Love," Jean-Claude Petit's cosmic disco boogie and jazz-funky groover B3 "The Age Of The Breaking Down," and Wlodek Guldowski's Scandinavian jazz-funk masterpiece B5 "Love Is Back" — all radiant. Ten tracks by ten artists, sequenced so each piece flows into the next, telling a story that opens a door to the galaxy. Highly recommended. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
