Alle Sorgenti Delle Civiltá Vol. 3

  • Cat No: MPI-LP018

Format

LP 5590 JPY

In 1971, a small Italian label Folkmusic released a collection of tribal and exotic oral music from Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, which included dances and rhythms from special rituals and festivals rooted in the myths, fairy tales, traditions, legends, and magic of the tribes living in the remote areas of those times. The recordings are the result of a unique, valuable, and interesting experiment by two multi-instrumentalists, Alessandro Alessandroni and Giuliano Sorgini, to recreate the tribal and exotic oral music of myths, fairy tales, traditions, legends, magic, and special rituals and festivals rooted in the lives of the tribes living in the remote areas of those times!

The 14 tracks are filled with exotic African tribal percussion sounds that make full use of congas, bongos, and other African percussion from Senegal, Maori, Somali, and Maasai tribes, as well as flute, flute, voodoo drums, and New Zealand percussion. The minimalistic exotic percussion grooves with a library-music feel are very mysterious. No-digital vinyl only release. Limited edition of 200 180g black vinyl LPs.
New release in 2026 from Musica Per Immagini, the famous label that has been reissuing Italian treasure recordings one after another. We recommend this album. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
